The Seattle shopping scene is being dealt a glancing blow this weekend: the exquisite, avant garde, boundary pushing and endlessly interesting Far4 is closing its doors. Owner Jenny Hudak Klimenkoff has been warning us for months, but the fact that it’s really happening is still a stunner. No one else in town carries what she carries, namely porcelain pieces ranging from whimsical to edgy, covetable jewelry, excellently curated objets d’art and killer vintage.

Her eye, and Far4, will be missed.

If you’ve been a fan over the last seven years (or have always meant to get down to her First Ave. location next to Watson Kennedy Fine Home), Saturday, July 12 from noon to 5 p.m. is your third to last chance (she’ll also be open from noon to 5 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday). Enjoy a glass of bubbles and toast Klimenkoff and her next adventure and while she’s not having a big closing sale (much to our chagrin), she will be offering 10 to 15 percent off select items.
